Follows 12-year-old Olivia, a bright but somewhat overlooked middle schooler with a heart full of creativity and a deep desire to make her mother proud. When her mother, a single parent juggling multiple jobs to keep the family afloat, begins dating a charming, well-connected man named Julian, Olivia clings to the hope that his “help” might both elevate her mother’s spirits and give her the recognition she’s always craved. Julian, with his polished manners and promises of turning her into a social media sensation, seems like the answer to her prayers. Sensing an opportunity to escape her ordinary life and win her mother’s undivided attention, Olivia agrees to let him manage her burgeoning online presence, starting a TikTok account where she shares short videos of her singing, dancing, and occasional vlogs about her daily life. Almost overnight, her content—quirky, relatable, and perfectly tailored to her age group—goes viral, with millions of followers flocking to her posts. Overnight, Olivia transforms from a shy kid into a “digital influencer,” her name plastered across feeds, brands reaching out for collaborations, and her mother beaming with pride. But beneath the glitz and the growing fame, Julian’s intentions begin to shift from “mentor” to something darker. What starts as gentle coaching evolves into controlling behavior: he dictates her content, pressures her to post more frequently, and isolates her from friends who might “distract” her from her “career.” Worse, he introduces her to a world of cutthroat competition, where other young influencers—jealous of her rapid rise—spread rumors and cyberbully her relentlessly. Olivia, desperate to keep her mother happy and maintain her status, swallows her discomfort, blind to the manipulation unfolding around her. Then, a shocking incident occurs: one of Julian’s past associates, a disgruntled ex-employee with dirt on his business dealings, is found dead under suspicious circumstances. The local police start investigating, and Olivia, who had previously dismissed Julian’s claims of “haters” and “enemies,” begins to piece together the truth. As she digs deeper, she uncovers emails, texts, and a trail of evidence that reveals Julian’s involvement in the man’s death—a betrayal so profound it shatters her illusions of him as a loving protector. Now, trapped in a web of lies, blackmailed by Julian’s threats, and haunted by the loss of her innocence, Olivia must choose between silence and survival. With her mother’s happiness at stake and her own life on the line, she must summon the courage to expose the truth, even if it means sacrificing everything she once believed in.
